The role of a Sales Adviser
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic full-time Sales Adviser to join our team at our Redditch branch. You’ll need to be an energetic and hard-working team player who takes pride in completing tasks efficiently. You will be tasked with serving customers in a friendly and professional manner, offering helpful advice and recommendations on our products.
Your Responsibilities
The candidate will be proactive in customer assistance, helping them to identify the ideal product for purchase in both face-to-face and telephone interactions, as well as processing orders, and tracking deliveries. Preferably must also have experience working in a builders’ merchant or have preliminary knowledge of building materials and/or techniques. You will become familiar with our wide range of products through training and experience as you progress in your career at Buildland, ensuring that you can assist our public and trade customers with confidence.
Requirements:
- Builders’ Merchants experience is advisable but not essential
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practice
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, helpful, confident, and engaging personality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in basic computer usage
- GCSE Qualifications

The role of a Forklift Driver
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated full-time Forklift Counterbalance Driver to join our team at our Redditch branch. The ideal candidate will need to be able to load customer’s purchased goods they have ordered from the trade counter. You will be working closely with customer goods and need to safely load them on the vehicle or trailer.
Your Responsibilities
You will be working closely with customer goods and will need to safely load them on the vehicle or trailer. You will maintain a high standard of customer service, loading and offloading goods for customer’s vehicles. It will be important to keep up to date with product information to ensure speed and accuracy in completing your duties.
Requirements:
- Hold a Forklift Licence
- Builders Merchants experience is advisable but not essential
- Proficiency in English
- Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality
- Must be fit and active to work at a fast pace
- Experience on diesel Forklifts

The role of a HGV Driver
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated full-time HGV Driver (Class 1 or 2) to join our team at our Redditch branch. The ideal candidate will confidently complete multi drop deliveries of goods to our customers around the Midlands and surrounding areas. The most important thing for us is safety from unloading and loading deliveries and customer service.
Your Responsibilities
You will work to efficiently deliver products to our customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through a friendly demeanour and strong work ethic. You will be responsible for loading and offloading goods, as well as maintaining tidiness in your own vehicle. Health and safety is a top priority, and we expect all of our staff to work within company and Health and Safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- Have Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Have a Driver Qualification Card (DQC)
- Hold a HIAB Licence
- Provide CPC Training certificates
- Understand and comply with VOSA Driving Regulations
- Understand Tacho breaks during driving hours
- An understanding of Building Materials (not essential)
- Experience using various manual cranes, preferably brick grab
- Proficiency in English
